2 I'm concerned about <strong>the</strong> cumulative marine<br />
3 impacts from <strong>the</strong> 487 proposed cargo ships transiting<br />
4 to and through <strong>the</strong> <strong>Gateway</strong> <strong>Pacific</strong> <strong>Terminal</strong> at Cherry<br />
5 Point.<br />
6 I request that this EIS scope include an<br />
7 analysis of all large cargo ships that will transit<br />
8 through our waters carrying tar sands, bitumen, and<br />
9 coal from proposed export facilities throughout <strong>the</strong><br />
10 Salish Sea.<br />
11 We request an analysis of <strong>the</strong> level of risk<br />
12 from an oil spill from <strong>the</strong> 487 coal ships combined<br />
13 with over 700 ships carrying tar sands and bitumen.<br />
14 We request that <strong>the</strong>re is a response to what<br />
15 <strong>the</strong> likelihood of a low, medium, and large oil spill<br />
16 would be. And we request that all of <strong>the</strong> coast Salish<br />
17 tribes with <strong>the</strong> usual and custom fishing rights in <strong>the</strong><br />
18 San Juan Islands have all of <strong>the</strong>ir issues analyzed.<br />
