9 JONATHAN WHITE: Hi. My name is Jonathan<br />
10 White. I live at Box 99, Orcas Island. I've lived<br />
11 <strong>the</strong>re <strong>for</strong> 20 years.<br />
12 I'm a member of <strong>the</strong> Marine Resource<br />
13 Committee, which is a San Juan County marine committee<br />
14 that's mandated to provide advice <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> San Juan<br />
15 County Council.<br />
16 I want to thank <strong>the</strong> Department of Ecology<br />
17 and <strong>the</strong> Corps of Engineers and o<strong>the</strong>r people who are<br />
18 involved in organizing this event, including <strong>the</strong> San<br />
19 Juan County Council that lobbied heavily to have this<br />
20 hearing here. I really appreciate it and thank<br />
21 everybody <strong>for</strong> showing up.<br />
22 The Marine Resource Committee is made up of<br />
23 14 people, volunteers that are appointed by <strong>the</strong> County<br />
24 Council. And <strong>the</strong>se are all local citizens. We<br />
25 represent scientists, marina owners, tribal, chamber<br />
