8 zooplankton, are acutely sensitive to impacts of pH<br />

9 PAHs.<br />

10 You must assess <strong>the</strong> risk and impact that<br />

11 this proposed <strong>Gateway</strong> <strong>Pacific</strong> coal terminal would have<br />

12 upon our already stressed Salish Sea Puget Sound<br />

13 ecosystem.<br />

14 More scientifically significant studies must<br />

15 be completed in order to even consider this<br />

16 development. Begin by computer modeling plankton<br />

17 ecology using a model such as <strong>the</strong> bio geochemical<br />

18 model <strong>for</strong> Puget Sound, by Neil Banas at <strong>the</strong> UW Applied<br />

19 Physics laboratory. O<strong>the</strong>r scientists such as Terry<br />

20 Claner at <strong>the</strong> UW --<br />
