8.3 ERRORS IN WRITABLE CHARACTER AND PC COMMAND SAVE MODES<br />

(1) Write Error<br />

• An error has occurred in writing in flash memory for storage.<br />

(2) Format Error<br />

• An erase error has occurred in formatting flash memory for storage.<br />

(3) Memory Full<br />

• Storing is impossible because of the insufficient flash memory for storage.<br />

* At the moment when an error occurs, the printer shows the error message, makes status<br />

response, then stops. The Status Request Command and the Reset Command only can be<br />

processed and other commands are not processed. Restoration using the [RESTART] key is<br />

impossible.<br />

8.4 SYSTEM ERRORS<br />

(1) Momentary Power Interruption Error<br />

• A momentary power interruption has occurred.<br />

(2) Address error<br />

• A command has been fetched from an odd address.<br />

• Word data has been accessed from a place other than the boundary of the word data.<br />

• Long word data has been accessed from a place other than the boundary of the long word data.<br />

(3) General invalid command exception<br />

• An undefined command in a place other than the delay slot has been decoded.<br />

(4) Slot invalid exception<br />

• An undefined command in the delay slot has been decoded.<br />

• A command which rewrites the data in the delay slot has been decoded.<br />

* At the moment when an error occurs, the printer shows the error message, then stops. (None<br />

of the commands and key operations will be processed.)<br />

(5) EEPROM Error<br />

• The EEPROM for back-up cannot be read/written properly.<br />

8.5 RESET PROCESSING<br />

When the [RESTART] key is held down for more than 3 seconds during the error which can be<br />

cleared by the [RESTART] key and during a pause, the printer returns to the initial status which is<br />

obtained after the power is turned on.<br />
