Afterwards he/she will have many OTHERauthor publications with many different LAST (senior) authors indicating that he/she is providingbiotechnology expertise on many different projects.- A Biologist with many OTHER author publications with <strong>the</strong> same LAST (senior)author is usually a bench scientist working as a senior research scientist in <strong>the</strong> lab of thatsenior biologist.- A talented biologist will have FIRST or SECOND author publications when a PhD studentand Postdoc. Scientists with mostly OTHER publications ei<strong>the</strong>r don’t last or end updoing bench work <strong>for</strong> someone else throughout <strong>the</strong>ir careers.105
