Environmental Benefits of the Waterless Urinal<br />

Water conservation is essential to the long-term sustainability of our<br />

environment. It is important that this is taken into consideration when<br />

choosing plumbing fixtures.<br />

Also, the use of recyclable materials and the reduction of waste that is<br />

sent to landfill sites is critical to the environment for years to come.<br />

We are proud to introduce both a 1.9 liter flush, as well as waterless<br />

stainless steel urinals.<br />

The functioning of this waterless system is based on a rubber<br />

membrane made of silicon-based elastomer, which works on the same<br />

principle as a tire valve. This membrane, which is made of a special<br />

water-repellent material, functions as an odor trap. The membrane lets<br />

liquids flow out and then closes immediately.<br />

Waterfree membrane is made from silicone rubber and is resistant to<br />

standard cleaners. Avoid the use of hydrocarbons (oils, fats, gas, etc)<br />

as they can cause premature failure of the membrane.<br />

Cleaning:<br />

Users are recommended to clean the urinal once a day with a mild<br />

alkaline all-purpose cleaner (spray-on type), which should be left to act<br />

for a moment and then wiped off with a damp cloth - or by rinsing with<br />

a little water when necessary. An alcohol-based window cleaning<br />

product can also be used.<br />
