SANIGUARD ® antimicrobial product protection<br />
SANIGUARD ® antimicrobial product protection is applied to our<br />
Clinical Hand Wash basins (p.19) as well as to our Premium<br />
Surgical Scrub Stations (p.18) to protect the product from the<br />
growth of bacteria, mold, mildew and fungi that can cause odors<br />
and staining, in hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities.<br />
What is it?<br />
SANIGUARD ® product protection is an invisible, food-safe,<br />
odorless coating applied to all exposed surfaces on the Clinical<br />
Hand Wash basins and Premium Surgical Scrub Stations models.<br />
How does it work?<br />
When microbes come into contact with a surface treated with<br />
SANIGUARD ® product protection, the inorganic, silver ion<br />
technology actively inhibits their growth by hindering cell wall<br />
transmissions, disrupting cell metabolism, and interfering with<br />
cellular reproduction.<br />
What are the benefits of this coating on a stainless steel sink?<br />
SANIGUARD ® product protection is effective against most<br />
common bacteria, yeasts, molds, and fungi that cause stains,<br />
odors and product deterioration. In addition, SANIGUARD ®<br />
product protection makes products easier to clean and keep<br />
them cleaner and fresher between cleanings. Under normal<br />
cleaning conditions, the SANIGUARD ® coating will provide<br />
continuous antimicrobial product protection for the useful life<br />
of the product.<br />
Please note:<br />
SANIGUARD ® product protection is designed to protect the<br />
product itself and will not protect the user or others from<br />
food-borne illness or disease. Always follow proper hygienic and<br />
cleaning procedures when using this product.<br />
Custom:<br />
SANIGUARD ® product protection is available as a custom<br />
coating for most Kindred Commercial sinks; however, it is only<br />
recommended for use in hand washing applications. The use of<br />
sharp utensils or heavy equipment can chip and mar the treated<br />
surface.<br />
