INSTALLATION
Kindred Commercial Securityware fixtures are intended for vandal resistant installation, with tamper proof hardware. Depending on the fixture type
installation methods may be:
a. Rear mount through the wall, for use when a pipe chase is available.
b. Or, front mount using wall hanger brackets when the fixture is not serviceable from a pipe chase.
Please refer to the product specific page for more information on installation methods, rough-ins, hardware, and fittings options.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Kindred Commercial’s endorsement of stainless steel fixtures is based on over 50 years of manufacturing experience. Over this time we have accumulated
a wealth of knowledge with respect to care of this product. We would like to share some of this insight with you, as well as advise you of some
recommended cleaning materials and instructions for maintaining our product.
To clean your fixture, use the mildest cleaning procedure that will do the job effectively. DO NOT USE ANY ABRASIVE MATERIALS ON MIRROR FINISH.
On satin finish surfaces we recommend using a very mild abrasive cleanser such as Old Dutch ® or Cameo ® .
Always rinse the fixture after using a cleaning agent, and wipe the fixture dry to discourage any water spotting.
Metallic scouring pads and steel wool pads must never be used to clean your fixture, as they will leave a residue of small iron particles. They may not even
be readily visible, but they most certainly will lead to corrosion of the fixture. (Non metallic Scotch-Brite ® scouring pads are available for this purpose.)
We don’t recommend that you use chlorine bleach in your stainless steel fixture, as chlorine will attack the protective layer that makes stainless steel
truly stainless. The risk of damage is proportional to the concentration of the chlorine and the duration of exposure between the fixture and chlorine
agent. Always dilute any antibacterial product used and wipe up any spills. Note: some antibacterial soaps contain a chlorine compound.
Any cleaning or scrubbing to remove stubborn stains from the inside of the fixture bowl should follow the direction of the grain line. Any scrubbing
across the grain will show as a scratch. Scrubbing in the same direction as the polish lines will blend in any surface scratches.
Stains and water spots anywhere on the fixture can be removed with a small amount of Peek on a damp cloth. Rub the Peek over the fixture surface.
Rinse and towel dry.
