Caldwell Endowed Scholarship. Awarded to part-time or full-time un der -grad u ate or graduate students. Priority will be given to applicants from Winston andMarion counties; secondary consideration will be given to deserving applicants who areenrolled in academic programs fa cil i tat ed through the College <strong>of</strong> Continuing Studies.Demonstration <strong>of</strong> fi nancial need (not necessarily as defi ned by federal guidelines) mayalso be a consideration for the award. <strong>The</strong> amount is variable.Thomas S. Graves Memorial Endowed Scholarship. This annual scholarship isawarded to a part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate student, currently enrolledor accepted for admission with demonstrated academic excellence. A minimum 3.0 GPA,a major in a science-based curriculum, and enrollment in at least one College <strong>of</strong> ContinuingStudies course during the semester in which the award is received are required.Priority will be given to the residents <strong>of</strong> Etowah and Cherokee counties.Jerold Kennedy Memorial Endowed Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded topart- or full-time undergraduate or graduate students who are at least 25 years old andwho are enrolled in academic programs facilitated through the College <strong>of</strong> ContinuingStudies, with preference given to students pursuing degrees in disciplines served bythe College <strong>of</strong> Continuing Studies.Colonel Floyd H. Mann Memorial Endowed Scholarship. This scholarship isawarded to an undergraduate or graduate student, part- or full-time, who is enrolled at<strong>The</strong> <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Alabama</strong> or accepted for admission. Priority will be given to studentswho are children <strong>of</strong> law enforcement <strong>of</strong>fi cials and/or who intend to pursue careers in lawenforcement and who demonstrate fi nancial need (not necessarily as defi ned by federalguidelines). Amount is variable.Clarice L. Parker Memorial Endowed Scholarship. This annual award is given to apart-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate student, currently enrolled or acceptedfor admission. An applicant must be at least 25 years old and a resident <strong>of</strong> <strong>Alabama</strong>,have a GPA <strong>of</strong> 2.5 or above for the previous semester, be enrolled in at least one College<strong>of</strong> Continuing Studies course during the semester in which the award is received,and demonstrate fi nancial need. Applicants must also fi le a Free Application for FederalStudent Aid by March 1.William Henry Rhea Jr. Memorial Endowed Scholarship. This annual scholarshipis given to a part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate student who is an <strong>Alabama</strong>resident at least 25 years old and who has demonstrated academic excellence (minimumGPA <strong>of</strong> 3.0) and established fi nancial need. Preference will be given to students majoringin engineering or business who are taking courses facilitated through the College<strong>of</strong> Continuing Studies.Warrior Ro<strong>of</strong>ing–Thomas G. Shurett Endowed Scholarship. This scholarship isawarded to a full-time undergraduate or graduate student who is currently enrolled oraccepted for admission and an <strong>Alabama</strong> resident. Priority will be given to students intendingto enroll in academic programs facilitated through the College <strong>of</strong> Continuing Studiesduring the term in which the award is received. Preference will be given to employees(or dependents <strong>of</strong> employees) <strong>of</strong> Warrior Ro<strong>of</strong>i ng Company Inc. and students from West<strong>Alabama</strong>. Amount is variable.John C. Snider Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to part-time or full-timeun der grad u ate or graduate students who are at least 25 years old, who are enrolledin academic programs facilitated through the College <strong>of</strong> Continuing Studies, and whodemonstrate satisfactory academic progress. <strong>The</strong> amount is variable.Ruth P. Snider Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to part-timeor full-time un der grad u ate or graduate students who are at least 25 years old and areenrolled in academic programs facilitated through the College <strong>of</strong> Continuing Studies,with preference given to students with a major or minor in music, music education, or arelated fi eld. Recipient must demonstrate satisfactory academic progress. <strong>The</strong> amountis variable.
