Service and maintenance8.5 Cleaning the vent filter8.5 Cleaning the vent filterClean the vent filter at least every 6 months, or more regularly depending on the degree ofsoiling.Procedure1. Unscrew the vent filter.2. Flush out the vent filter with benzine or a similar cleaning agent.3. Blow the vent filter out with compressed air.4. Seal the <strong>gearbox</strong> with the vent filter.You have now cleaned the vent filter.8.6 Checking the oil level sensor (optional)ATEX version <strong>gearbox</strong>esThe oil level sensor indicates the oil level only when the <strong>gearbox</strong> is shut down.Lower the oil level and fill it up again until the oil level sensor gives a switchingsignal.Please refer to the separate operating instructions for the oil level sensor.8.7 Cleaning the <strong>gearbox</strong>CAUTIONDust deposits prevent heat radiation and cause high housing temperatures.Keep the <strong>gearbox</strong> free from dirt and dust.CAUTIONDo not use a high-pressure cleaning appliance to clean the <strong>gearbox</strong>.Do not use tools with sharp edges.Switch off the power supply to the drive unit before cleaning it.BA 201074 Operating Instructions, 05/2011
