Bill Nayes is in his third season with the 49ers as Special Assistantto the Head Coach.Prior to joining the 49ers, he served as Assistant Athletic Director/Directorof Football Operations at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for three years. With the Badgers, Nayes coordinated allteam operations, including game scheduling, budgeting, team travel,camps, operational schedules, and team bowl trips. He also servedas a liaison between football and various departments, and supervisedoffice personnel.Before his time at Wisconsin, Nayes served as Football OperationsCoordinator/Team Travel with the Seattle Seahawks under thenHead Coach Mike Holmgren from 1999 to 2006. During his sevenyears in Seattle, he was responsible for all aspects of the team’stravel, including the budget, team charters, hotel accommodations,meal arrangements and ground transportation. Nayes also organizedthe Seahawks’ training camp and mini-camps, as well as theteam’s operational schedules.NAYES’ BACKGROUNDNayes was originally hired full-time by the Packers in 1997 afterserving as a training camp intern during the summers of 1995 and1996. He worked under Holmgren as Administrative Assistant/FootballOperations until 1999.During his years of working in football operations, which initiallybegan at his alma mater as a student football manager before movinginto a Football Operations Assistant role upon graduation, Nayeshas been a part of six college bowl games, four international games,and seven NFL postseasons, including three Super Bowls.Nayes graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Universityof Wisconsin-Madison in 1994. He and his wife, Paige, havea daughter, Natalia and a son, Joe.
