Step 2: Move the mouse to the location where you wish to createa point — the information display (bottom-left corner) will giveyou feedback as you move your mouse — and click the RMB toimmediately create the point.You can click down a point with the RMB and then, if you needto adjust the location, immediately click the LMB and move thepoint. Alternatively you can simply click the RMB to quickly laydown a string of points in succession and move them later usingsomething like the Drag tool.NOTE: You can convert the point you’ve just madeinto a polygon by pressing P.Chapter 3: Create Tab 89Spray Points ToolCreating one or two points is not hard, but what happens whenyou need to create hundreds or even thousands of random pointsfor objects such as stars, gasses or bubbles? Enter the SprayPoints tool, (Create > Points: Spray Points), which works likea splatter gun to create a random assortment of single pointpolygons.After selecting the tool, click in any viewport (including theperspective viewport!). A blue crosshair appears surrounded bya larger blue circle. The crosshair represents the center positionof the Spray Points tool. The circle represents the radius withinwhich points will be created.The radius can be adjusted either numerically or interactively. Toadjust the radius numerically, open the Numeric window (N).Click in the field entitled Radius, type a new number and pressEnter. (You can also use the slider to the right of the numeric fieldto make the radius larger or smaller).To adjust the radius interactively, click the RMB in any viewportand drag. The radius circle will jump to the position of your mousecursor. To make the radius smaller, drag your mouse towardsthe crosshair. To make the radius bigger, drag it away from thecrosshair.
