Chapter 8: Map Tab 261The Current Editable PointSelected points are shown as a yellow point, and the currenteditable point is surrounded by a small pink square.The value of the current editable point is displayed in the Valuefield. You can change the weight value by dragging the slideror entering a value directly. You can cycling through all of theselected points, to change the current editable point, by clickingthe Prev and Next buttons. The number of points selected andthe (reference) number for the current editable point is displayedin the information display field at the bottom.This editing option is only available for <strong>Modeler</strong>’s skelegons. Youcannot use this option on the bones loaded by Vertex Loader.If you want the bank rotation axis to align to a specified axisprecisely, press the N key. The bank rotation axis will correspondto the axis you chose.Vertex Paint: Creating a Morph TargetSetting Weight ValueTo specify the weight value for all selected points, enter a numberin the Value field and click the Set All button.To create a new morph target, choose (new) from the Morphpop-up menu on the main panel.A dialog will appear where you indicate the Name and Type ofmorph target.Editing the Bank Rotation Axis of SkelegonsSkelegons generated in <strong>Modeler</strong> have vector information forthe bank rotation axis that refers to the upward direction. Thisdetermines the bank rotation angle of the bone when converted inLayout. To adjust the bank rotation axis in Vertex Paint, activatethe Bank Rotation Axis Edit option. (Note: Vertex Paint will resetall skelegons to their rest position before allowing you to edit thebank rotation.)If you enter a new name when creating a morph target, geometrywith bone deformation (from rotation, move, and scale) in the 3Dview is created. Deformed geometry created using the previewanimation function can also be used.Vertex Paint: MiscHold the Ctrl key and drag your LMB in the 3D view. A thickblue ring represents the bank rotation. The arrow represents the“upward direction” of the skelegon.
