Robert Preston Brooks was the dean of the College ofBusiness Administration at the University of Georgia from 1920 to 1945. TheBusiness Administration Building was renamed “Robert Preston Brooks Hall.”In 1957, he was the author of the book “Under Seven Flags.” Robert PrestonBrooks died in Athens, Georgia on October 28, 1961 and was buried in theOconee Hill Cemetery in Athens. At the time of his death, he was a DeanEmeritus of the University of Georgia. JosephineBrooks married Allen Nicholls Smith, a 1926 graduate of the University ofGeorgia. Allen and Josephine Smith were the parents of three daughters:............Josephine Smith, b. 1939............Anne Smith, b. 1941............Sally Smith, b. 1946Allen Smith died and Josephine later married a second time to John Scott. Johnand Josephine Scott live in Montgomery, Alabama. Josephine Smith marriedMortimer Ames and they have three children: - Mort Ames, - JosephineAmes, - Brooks Ames. Josephine and Mortimer Ames live in Selma, Alabama.Anne Smith married Archibald Reeves and they have three sons: - ArchyReeves, - Allan Reeves, - name unknown. Miltonwas born in 1913 in Sylvester, Georgia and is a 1934 graduate of the Universityof Georgia. Gene graduated from the University of Georgia in 1936 and receiveda Master’s of Art in 1939. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Miltonand Gene Richardson are the parents of at least four children:............James M.
