Robertwas a private in the Confederate Army, Company E of the Ninth GeorgiaRegiment. Charlotte (Lumpkin) Lumpkin is buried in a family cemetery in TalbotCounty, Georgia. Lovella Lumpkin married William John Lumpkin (bornSeptember 9, 1853 in Notasulga, Alabama). William Lumpkin died on November13, 1939 and Lovella Lumpkin died July 19, 1944. Both were buried inRandolph County, Georgia. Joseph Lumpkin first married in Talbot County,Georgia and they had one daughter: - Hattie Lumpkin. Later, Joseph Lumpkinmarried a second time to Georgia Palmer and they had one daughter: - BeatriceLumpkin.
