Georgia was bornon January 20, 1868 in Georgia. Georgia Slaughter married John DanielNewman, Jr. John was born on May 5, 1860 and is the son of John DanielNewman and Patience (Cannington) Newman. John’s brother, William HenryNewman, married Georgia Slaughter’s sister, Sarah Emma Slaughter (2.5.2.5).John and Georgia Newman moved to Terrell County, Georgia and they were theparents of six children:............Florence Newman............Clyde Newman, b. 1892, Georgia............William A. Newman............Mary Lena Newman, b. 1896, Georgia............Paul Newman, b. 1899, Georgia............Emma Newman, b. 1901, GeorgiaIn 1910, John and Georgia Newman were living in Stewart County, Georgia.John Daniel Newman, Jr. died on October 11, 1919 and Georgia (Slaughter)Newman died on October 18, 1939. Both were buried in the Cedar Hill Cemeteryin Dawson, Georgia. Florence Newman married Frank Lisle and they haveone daughter: - Rebecca Lisle. Florence (Newman) Lisle later married C. H.Varner of Smithville, Georgia. Rebecca Lisle married H. B. Arnold and lives inAmericus, Georgia. H. B. Arnold is associated with Arnold Trucking Company.Clyde Newman married Gladys Dismukes of Dawson, Georgia. They moved toAlbany, Georgia and had two sons: - William Newman, - Clyde Newman, Jr.William Newman married Annie Boyett Gibson of Macon, Georgia. William isan Orthopedic Surgeon in Macon, Georgia.
