B. degree from SouthwesternUniversity in Georgetown, Texas and a Master of Arts degree from the TeachersCollege, Columbia University and Union Theological Seminary in New York.From 1953 to 1975, Johnnie Marie was a research assistant to the President ofSouthern Methodist University. Johnnie Marie was elected to the Texas StateBoard of Education from the fifth Congressional District. In 1969, Johnnie Mariereceived a Distinguished Alumni Award from Southwestern University.Howard Grimes was Phi Beta Kappa and received a A. B. degree from the Universityof Texas, a Bachelor of Divinity (now Master of Theology) from SouthernMethodist University, a Master of Sacred Theology from Union TheologicalSeminary in New York and a Doctor of Philosophy from Columbia University inNew York. During World War II, Howard was a Chaplain in the United StatesArmy. From 1949 to 1982, Howard was a member of the faculty with PerkinsSchool of Theology at Southern Methodist University. Howard Grimes has publishedmany books and articles. Richard Millar received an A. B. degree fromthe Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana.
