Burlie Butlerserved in both World Wars and retired from the United States Army after 36years of service on February 1, 1946. William and Fannie were the parents of three daughters who lived in theSouth. In 1968, they were: Mrs. Robert Hill of New Orleans, Louisiana, Mrs.Clifford Ketchum of Tallahassee, Florida and Mrs. Shirley Hale of Birmingham,Alabama. Fannie (Dickens) Jordan died on May 12, 1943 and was buried in theRiverdale Cemetery in Columbus, Georgia. William Jordan and his second wife,Louise Jordan, lived in Charlotte, North Carolina.
