On December 31, 1811, Robert Brooksmarried his first cousin, Frances Baugh (1.1.11) in Putnam County, Georgia.Frances was born between 1790 and 1800 and is the daughter of Daniel Baughand Lucy (Brooks) Baugh. In 1820, Robert and Frances Brooks were living inWilkinson County, Georgia. From 1830 to 1840, they lived in Talbot County,Georgia. In 1850, Robert and Frances (Landrum) Brooks were living in TalbotCounty, Georgia. Georgia was born around 1818 in Jones County, Georgia, out of wedlockto Elizabeth Pickard. Elizabeth is the daughter of Thomas Pickard. On December24, 1820, Elizabeth Pickard married Robert B. Paul (born 1795 inGeorgia). On December 22, 1830, Georgia legitimized by petition to the GeorgiaAssembly and her name was changed to Georgia Caroline Paul. Accordingto Mary Fox Hudson, Daniel and Caroline Brooks had “a family disagreement”and “Mrs. Paul took her only daughter away from her husband to her home andhe flew in his hot temper and joined the army.” On November 15, 1835, DanielBrooks appointed his father, Robert Brooks, guardian of his infant daughter,
