August 30, 1912, Columbus, GeorgiaOn August 27, 1889, Kelly Dimon graduated from the Eastman Business Collegein Poughkeepsie, New York. For most of his adult life, Kelly was a wholesalegrocer in Columbus, Georgia. From 1900 to 1920, Samuel and SallieDimon were living in Muscogee County, Georgia with Sallie’s parents, Gideonand Josephine Peacock. Samuel Kelly Dimon, Sr. died on January 25, 1938 andSallie (Peacock) Dimon died on December 13, 1957. Both died at the Cedarshome in Columbus and were buried there in the Linwood Cemetery. SaraDimon is unmarried and lives in Columbus, Georgia. Johnwas born on August 8, 1893 in Macon, Georgia and is the son of John JamesMcKay and Annie (Anderson) McKay. John’s paternal grandfather was ReverendWilliam McKay, a Presbyterian minister and his maternal grandfather wasJudge Clifford Anderson who was Attorney General of Georgia for ten years.John and Josephine McKay lived in Macon, Georgia and were the parents ofthree children:............Josephine Banks McKay (2.3.3.1.2.1.1), b.
