Brief Description of Research Conducted in This Lab
INCLUDING POSSIBLE PROBLEMS FOR FIREFIGHTERS WITHIN:
This laboratory‟s primary research involves the design and development of
instrumental methods for the determination of trace metals. As a result, the vast majority
of chemicals found in the lab are dilute aqueous metal standards which pose no
significant
health risk. There are several compressed gas cylinders, most of which are located in one
holding area in Room 118, on the right wall, midsection of room.. There are acetylene,
dinitrogen oxide, argon, and 12% Hydrogen in balance of argon mixture gas cylinders.
In room 117 (in back of labroom) there are three gas cylinders, one each of hydrogen,
Oxygen, and helium.
