Highlights from the proposedInterim Agreement include:- Proposed break-down <strong>of</strong> operating and capital funding from the both theUniversity and <strong>City</strong> as follows:University <strong>of</strong> <strong>Guelph</strong> <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Guelph</strong>Operating funding $374,000 $161,000Operating support - grounds maintenance n/a(in-kind)- financial services- purchasing- HR services- security- parkingCapital funding 50% 50%- Transfer <strong>of</strong> provision <strong>of</strong> all grounds maintenance from the <strong>City</strong> to theUniversity- Introduction <strong>of</strong> programming opportunities for the <strong>City</strong> using MSAC spaceand collection- Naming a CSS staff person to an ex-<strong>of</strong>ficio role on the MSAC Board <strong>of</strong>Trustees- Capital funding is for on-going capital expenditures as forecasted in theattached document (Attachment 2) and does not cover extraordinary andunanticipated capital expenditures. Any extraordinary capital needs would bedealt with on a case by case basis, and subject to the approval <strong>of</strong> <strong>City</strong><strong>Council</strong> and the University <strong>of</strong> <strong>Guelph</strong>.This Interim Agreement provides a short-term solution, and clarifies the currentissues related to operating and capital budgets, and grounds maintenance.Negotiations between the parties will continue, with the intention <strong>of</strong> revising theoverarching Five Party Agreement, including the necessary revisions to ProvincialLegislation, prior to the February 2014 deadline.
