2-4 Planning Your Configuration and Data Mapping Your DevicesRediSTATION Operator Interface Data MappingThe RediSTATION has both inputs and outputs that must be mapped.The input byte is mapped to the 1771-SDN module’s block transferread data table and then to the PLC-5 processor’s input data file. Planning Your Configuration and Data Mapping Your Devices 2-5Mapping RediSTATION Input Data for a Block Transfer ReadThe RediSTATION operator interface’s input byte is mapped to thescanner’s block transfer read data table through a 62 word BTR. In thisexample, we use data file N9:0.12What’s Happening?The bits for the RediSTATIONoperator interfaces’s red and greenbuttons are mapped into the1771-SDN Scanner’s BTR datatable.The BTR data table is thentransferred via a BTR to the PLC-5processor’s input data file.Important: The 1771-SDN module onlymakes the data file available for theprocessor to read.
