4-4 Configuring the DeviceNet NetworkUsing RSNetWorx forDeviceNet to Configurethe ScanlistSetting Up an Online ConnectionFollow the procedure below to set up an online connection to theDeviceNet network using the 1770-KFD driver.1. Start RSNetWorx.2. From the File menu, select New.If you have RSNetWorx for ControlNet installed on your computeryou may see the following window. Otherwise, proceed to step 4.3. Configuring the DeviceNet Network 4-5The Browse for network window will appear. You will see thedrivers you have configured on your system.5. Select the 1770-KFD-1, DeviceNet driver and click on OK.You will be prompted to upload or download devices before goingonline.6. Click on OK to go online and upload the network.RSNetWorx for DeviceNet will begin browsing for network devices.When the software is finished browsing, the network displayed onyour screen should look similar to the one shown below.Publication 1771-6.5.132 - June 2000
