AND WHEREAS the said sureties have agreed to execute this bond as sureties on behalf of theabove bounderNOW <strong>THE</strong> CONDITION <strong>OF</strong> <strong>THE</strong> ABOVE WRITTEN OBLIGATION IS THAT in the event of theobligor Shriresigning from service without returning to duty after theexpiry or termination of the period of study leave so extended or at any time within a period of threeyears after his return to duty the obligor and the sureties shall forthwith pay to the Government or asmay be directed by the Government on demand the said sum of Rs.(Rupees) together with interest thereon from the date of demand at Government rates for thetime being in force on Government loans.And upon the obligor Shriand, or Shriand, or Shrithe sureties after said making such payment theabove written obligation shall be void and of no effect otherwise it shall be and remain in full force andvirtue:PROVIDED ALWAYS that the liability of the sureties hereunder shall not be impaired ordischarged by reason of time being granted or by any forbearance, act or omission of theGovernment or any person authorised by them (whether with or without the consent or knowledge ofthe sureties) nor shall it be necessary for the Government to sue the obligor before suing the suretiesShri and Shri or any of them for amounts duehereunder.IN WITNESS WHERE<strong>OF</strong>the Government servant above named has signedthese presence the day, month and year first above written.Signed by the obligorIn the presence of—Witnesses—(1)(2)Signed by the sureties inthe presence of—Witnesses—(1)Accepted by/for and on behalf ofand by the order and directionof the Governor of Tamil Nadu(2) In the presence of—FORM “C”Witnesses—( S e e R u l e s 2 0 a n d 2 3 . )Procedural instructions for making application for study leave and grant of such leave.1. Except as otherwise provided in these rules, all applications for study leave shall be submittedwith the Audit Officer’s or Pay and Accounts Officer’s certificate, as the case may be, to theGovernment through the appropriate channel and the course or courses of study contemplated andany examination which the Government servant proposes to undergo or pass shall be clearlyspecified therein. If the course of study is out of India, Government shall forward to the Head ofMission, if there is an India Mission in that country, a copy of the approved programme of study. In acase where it is not possible for the Government servant to give full details in his original application,or if after leaving India he is to make any change in the programme which has been approved in India,he shall submit the particulars as soon as possible to the Head of Mission or the Government, as thecase may be. In such cases he shall not, unless prepared to do so at his own risk, commence the(1)(2)305
