DEATHS<br />

Ge<strong>org</strong>e H. Rankin died at his home<br />

in Kentucky Avenue May fifth, at the<br />

age of fifty-eight, and Monday afternoon<br />

funeral services were held in the<br />

chapel of the Third Presbyterian<br />

Church, of which he had been a deacon.<br />

Mr. Rankin had practiced law in<br />

Pittsburgh for more than twenty-five<br />

years, after graduating from the University<br />

of Pennsylvania and the University<br />

of Virginia. He was a member<br />

of the Allegheny County and American<br />

Bar Associations, the Duquesne Club,<br />

Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania,<br />

Botanical Society and the Audubon<br />

Society; also a director in the East<br />

Liberty Y. M. C. A. and the Pittsburgh<br />

Academy of Science and Art. Mr.<br />

Rankin leaves his widow, Mrs. Mabel<br />

Brown Rankin; INSTRUCTION a daughter, Mrs. C.<br />
