A further south-eastern regional hub may be identified in the area north or north-east ofMeyerton in order to make more direct connection with the port initiatives of Port Elizabethand Durban.Twinning with existing inner-city hubs (City Deep in Johannesburg and Capital Park inTshwane) with the proposed regional hubs, and the rail and road linkages between these,is to be a matter of further detailed planning.The implementation of an adept logistics strategy is necessary to strengthen the economyand sustainability of Gauteng. Nevertheless it takes extensive capital investment to engineera logistics hub/ inland port or a next generation inland port.
