MODEL 5: THE VIRTUAL MODEL ROOMSECTION 3: THE MODELLING ELEMENTS OF THE GSDFA virtual model room has been established to display various portions of <strong>the</strong> GCR as anindication of how <strong>the</strong>se areas may appear, in block-modelling terms, as a result of <strong>the</strong>various policies, infrastructure and performance criteria applied to that area. When viewing<strong>the</strong> GSDF on <strong>the</strong> web, an icon indicates that <strong>the</strong>re is an indicative, illustrative view of <strong>the</strong>nature of <strong>the</strong> urban environment intended. By clicking on this icon, one is able to join <strong>the</strong>Virtual Model room and view, in three-dimensional form, an area of similar type and tomove around this model and zoom in on it at will.
