These are only a few examplesof the many ways in which the nature of the visual handicapwill determine the ease or difficulty of a particular activity.As you present activities, consider also the student’s ageand level of motivation. Ninety-two percent of the studentswith whom the Light Box and Level II materials wereevaluated attended longer to tasks performed on the LightBox than to similar tasks performed without it. As stated inthe Guidelines and Suggestions section, show enthusiasmfor the activities, praise the child, and reinforce his effortswith something motivating. Making an activity moregame-like will encourage some students to work to theirfullest potential.A final important observation, the activities provided do notcomprise a complete program of vision stimulation andtraining exercises.
