All traditions are finding how much <strong>the</strong>y have incommon in concerns over abortion, <strong>the</strong> regulation of drugs, <strong>the</strong> expansion ofgambling casinos, <strong>the</strong> Sexual Orientation Regulations, incitement to religioushatred measures, third world debt, environmental issues, and religiousdiscrimination.<strong>The</strong> <strong>Maranatha</strong> <strong>Community</strong> gives a lead in many of <strong>the</strong>se concerns and itsvoice is well respected in Parliament. <strong>The</strong> <strong>Community</strong> works alongside o<strong>the</strong>rinterdenominational groups who are doing similar work. As an example ofcooperation on <strong>the</strong>se issues, <strong>Maranatha</strong> cites at least 13 or 14 agenciesconcerned with <strong>the</strong> issue of abortion. 182h) Shared Publicity and Public RelationsMany parish magazines publicise all <strong>the</strong> activities of <strong>the</strong> churches in <strong>the</strong>ir areainstead of just <strong>the</strong>ir own.
