left bank; medieval Rome lay mainly within the bend <strong>of</strong> the Tiber. The contribution <strong>of</strong> the<br />

baroque to the city’s pattern is traceable between Pza S. Venezia and Pza del Popolo (top righ').<br />

The Vittorio Emmanuel monument, the Campidoglio, the Corso, Pza Navona, the Pantheon,<br />

Castel S. Angelo, Pza Cavour and Pza S. Pietro are also recognizable (see fig. 37.) (Fotocielo).
