Con <strong>26</strong> años de trayectoria, la autoridad sanitaria –adscrita al Ministerio de Agricultura y Riego– cuenta con un equipo técnico y profesional, de amplia experiencia y conocimiento, que trabaja en el campo para asegurar la sanidad agraria y la inocuidad agropecuaria en todas las regiones del país. La seguridad que brindan nuestros productos agrarios, basada en el estatus en sanidad vegetal y animal alcanzado, siguiendo las normas internacionales, llega hasta consumidores nacionales y extranjeros, con la garantía que brinda el <strong>SENASA</strong>. Con el objetivo de mantener el prestigio del Perú, como tierra proveedora de alimentos para el mundo, la autoridad sanitaria trabaja incesantemente para el cumplimiento de las medidas fitosanitarias que garanticen la seguridad alimentaria, así como para controlar y evitar plagas y enfermedades. Esta es una tarea sustancial para salvaguardar los cultivos y la vida de los animales, tanto de los pequeños y medianos productores, como de las grandes empresas del país. A menos de tres años de celebrar el Bicentenario de la Independencia, y como institución abanderada de la sanidad agraria y la inocuidad agroalimentaria, el <strong>SENASA</strong> fortalece en sus servidores del campo, la misión de consolidar metas trascendentales para un país que renovará sus votos de soberanía y desarrollo. The women and men in the field have <strong>SENASA</strong> as an ally to accompany them in their daily tasks, increase their possibilities of family wellbeing and economic progress. With <strong>26</strong> years in the industry, the health authority —ascribed to the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation— has a an experienced and knowledgeable team of technicians and professionals that work in the field to ensure agricultural health and food safety. The security they provide to our agricultural products, based on the status of plant and animal health achieved, and following international standards, reaches consumers both locally and abroad with the guarantee provided by <strong>SENASA</strong>. The objective is to maintain Peru’s prestige as a supplier of foods to the world, and the health authority works incessantly to ensure compliance with the plant health standards that guarantee food safety and to control and prevent pests and diseases. This is a fundamental task to safeguard crops and the lives of animals among small and medium producers as well as the country’s large businesses. Only three years before we celebrate the Bicentennial of Independence, and as the flagship institution of agricultural health and agri-food safety, <strong>SENASA</strong> strengthens its workers in the field with the mission to consolidate far-reaching goals in a country that is about to renew its vows of sovereignty and development.
