Executive Secretary’s Message<br />
Dr. C G Betsurmath is the Chief Executive Officer and<br />
Administrative Head of JSS Mahavidyapeetha and its<br />
Institutions. He was the Senior Super Time Scale (Rtd)<br />
Karnataka Administrative Service Officer of the rank of<br />
Special Secretary to Government of Karnataka.<br />
He Joined Karnataka Administrative Services and<br />
served as Tahasildar of Navalagund, Gokak, Shiggaon,<br />
Bhatkal, Chikkodi taluks; Assistant Commissioner and<br />
Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Gadag and Davanagere<br />
Sub-Divisions; Additional Deputy Commissioner<br />
and Additional District Magistrate of Davanagere<br />
and Mysuru Districts; Commissioner, Mysuru Urban<br />
DevelopmentAuthority; Commissioner, Archaeology,<br />
Museums & Heritage, GoK; Commissioner, Mysuru<br />
City Corporation<br />
He has Worked as a resource person and has guided<br />
several officers in the Administrative Training Institute,<br />
Mysuru and Karnataka Police Academy, Mysuru<br />
mentoring the Tahasildars, Assistant Commissioners,<br />
IAS and IPS probationers and other senior officers of<br />
the State and Central Government, on Land Revenue<br />
Administration, Land Reforms Act, Land Acquisition<br />
Act, Magisterial Powers and Functions, Urban Planning,<br />
Heritage Conservation and Management, Human<br />
Rights and Human Development, Right to Information<br />
Act, Heritage Conservation and Management<br />
He has played a major role as State-level Resource<br />
Person during the General Elections empanelled by<br />
Election Commission of India and has been key in<br />
Organizational role for several government convened<br />
Seminars, Workshops and events.<br />
He has been instrumental and had contributed as a<br />
Deputy Special Officer of several committees during<br />
the last 6 years of Dasara Festivities in the state of<br />
Karnataka.<br />

The success of any institution lies in its commitment to ensuring quality and striving to translate this<br />
into excellence. I am proud to have seen the growth of JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research<br />
as a deemed university going by leaps and bounds in the one decade of its existence. It has strived<br />
to excel in whatever it has done, giving importance to ensuring quality in all its endeavors. Success<br />
has come from within and the quality of the leadership reflects in the success of the team and in this,<br />
JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research is blessed with good leadership. The institution should<br />
strive to reach greater heights in its pursuit of improving higher education and should strive to reach<br />
and surpass the bench mark it has set for itself.<br />
I wish the Institution more success.
