Executive Secretary’s Message
Dr. C G Betsurmath is the Chief Executive Officer and
Administrative Head of JSS Mahavidyapeetha and its
Institutions. He was the Senior Super Time Scale (Rtd)
Karnataka Administrative Service Officer of the rank of
Special Secretary to Government of Karnataka.
He Joined Karnataka Administrative Services and
served as Tahasildar of Navalagund, Gokak, Shiggaon,
Bhatkal, Chikkodi taluks; Assistant Commissioner and
Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Gadag and Davanagere
Sub-Divisions; Additional Deputy Commissioner
and Additional District Magistrate of Davanagere
and Mysuru Districts; Commissioner, Mysuru Urban
DevelopmentAuthority; Commissioner, Archaeology,
Museums & Heritage, GoK; Commissioner, Mysuru
City Corporation
He has Worked as a resource person and has guided
several officers in the Administrative Training Institute,
Mysuru and Karnataka Police Academy, Mysuru
mentoring the Tahasildars, Assistant Commissioners,
IAS and IPS probationers and other senior officers of
the State and Central Government, on Land Revenue
Administration, Land Reforms Act, Land Acquisition
Act, Magisterial Powers and Functions, Urban Planning,
Heritage Conservation and Management, Human
Rights and Human Development, Right to Information
Act, Heritage Conservation and Management
He has played a major role as State-level Resource
Person during the General Elections empanelled by
Election Commission of India and has been key in
Organizational role for several government convened
Seminars, Workshops and events.
He has been instrumental and had contributed as a
Deputy Special Officer of several committees during
the last 6 years of Dasara Festivities in the state of
Karnataka.
His Administrative services has seen many

The success of any institution lies in its commitment to ensuring quality and striving to translate this
into excellence. I am proud to have seen the growth of JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research
as a deemed university going by leaps and bounds in the one decade of its existence. It has strived
to excel in whatever it has done, giving importance to ensuring quality in all its endeavors. Success
has come from within and the quality of the leadership reflects in the success of the team and in this,
JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research is blessed with good leadership. The institution should
strive to reach greater heights in its pursuit of improving higher education and should strive to reach
and surpass the bench mark it has set for itself.
