Health Check-up Camp<br />

Youth Red Cross JSS College of pharmacy Ooty, at<br />
Vivekananda Memorial Matric School, M.Palada on 15<br />
July, <strong>2018</strong>.<br />
OUTREACH ACTIVITIES<br />
World Pharmacist Day 2017<br />
The World Pharmacist Day was celebrated by IPA, Nilgiris Local Branch on 25th September 2017 on theme:<br />
“From Research to Health Care: Your pharmacist is at your service” to create awareness about the pharmacy<br />
profession among general public. In this context, a human chain was observed by more than 700 student<br />
pharmacists, faculty pharmacists and practicing pharmacists from both community and hospital set-up in the<br />
district of Nilgiris. The office bearers and members of Chemists and Druggists Association of Nilgiris were also<br />
invited to support this professional task.On the same day about 45 student pharmacists in 15 groups worked<br />
in identified community pharmacies both in urban and rural areas and provided various pharmaceutical care<br />
services like patient counselling, health screening, etc. As a unique activity to attract the attention of general<br />
public, about 500 student pharmacists made a formation of Tablet and capsule in a ground situated at the heart<br />
of the Ooty town which was well received, recognized and published by media.<br />
AIDS Day Awareness Program<br />
The AIDS Day was observed by Indian Red Cross<br />
Society, Nilgiris Branch in association with Youth<br />
Red Cross JSS College of pharmacy Ooty. Rally was<br />
organised by the IRCS which included volunteers from<br />
JSSCPO and Santhi Vijay Higher Secondary School.<br />
