Dr. Dattatri Nagesh
HOD, Faculty of Life Sciences
Dr. Dattatri Nagesh, he is involed in day-to-day administrative responsibilities of Faculty of Life Sciences, with
includes designing new curriculum for expansion of the program, promoting research activities within Faculty
of Life Sciences. Ihe is nvolved in the restructuring of facilities for the Faculty of Life Sciences including the
designing of new laboratories and library.
Research Achievements
Northeastern University - Research Coordinator for IGERT (Integrative Graduate Education and Research
Traineeship) Nanomedicine Science and Technology Program Member of the team that administers $3.3 million
grant from National Cancer Institute (NCI) (2005 – 2010) and $3.1 million grant from National Science Foundation
(NSF) (2010 – 2015) for the IGERT Program Develop curriculum for new graduate level courses in Nanomedicine
Foster new interdisciplinary research collaborations within NEU and other research establishments/institutes
Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in their nanomedicine-related research and course work.
Awards And Honors
Otis Dermer Scholarship: Awarded to the best new graduate student in the Department of Chemistry, Oklahoma
State University. (Spring 1998)
