JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty ranked 15th in the Country by NIRF-<strong>2018</strong><br />
Higher Education Review Magazine (July 2017) has conferred JSSCP, Ooty with 4th Place in the country,<br />
on the basis of preparation of the students for industry, educational collaborations, placements, research<br />
and quality of delivery performance<br />
NABL first surveillance audit, renewal for 05 years and GLP certification for Drugs Testing Laboratory (DTL)<br />
have been obtained<br />
Recertification of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 for the institution and DTL<br />
have been successfully obtained<br />
Conferred with ‘Best Drug and Poison Information Centre’ for the year 2017 by Indian Pharmaceutical<br />

Dr. S.P. Dhanabal<br />

Dr. S.P. Dhanabal is currently Professor of Department of Pharmacognosy & Phytopharmacy and Principal<br />
at the JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty. Obtained B.Pharm & M.Pharm from JSSCP, Ooty (1989 & 1991); Ph.D<br />
from UCPSC, Warangal (Kakatiya University, Jan 2004). He has 26 years of teaching and research experience<br />
at UG/PG level. His research interest is phytochemistry, herbal formulation & standardization. He has 150<br />
presentations in International/National/Regional seminars and published 95 journal articles. He is an approved<br />
Ph.D guide at the TN Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai, JNTU, Hyderabad and JSS AHER, Mysuru and so<br />
far 08 candidates awarded Ph.D under him. His research group consists of PG & Ph.D students, International<br />
scientists under CV Raman/NAM S&T/TATA ISTA JRD fellowships. He has received financial grants of about<br />
1.50 Crore towards research grant and conduct of FDP/ Seminar/Workshop from AICTE, ICMR, DST, Govt. of<br />
India. He has been a Member of Scientific Services Committee of Indian Pharmamcy Congress for the past 06<br />
years.
