Education Unit and Activities<br />
Pharmacy Education Unit (PEU) of JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru in association with Centre for Continuous<br />
Learning for Professional Excellence (CCLPE) of JSS AHER conducted a Faculty development program on ‘Team<br />
based, and Case based learning’ on 18th January <strong>2018</strong> at Dept. of Pharmacy Practice Seminar Hall, JSS College<br />
of Pharmacy, Mysuru. The workshop aimed to introduce active learning to the participants and highlight concepts<br />
and achievement of ‘in-class active learning’ through Team Based and Case Based Learning. Dr. Amruthesh C.<br />
Shivachar, Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Texas,<br />
USA was the workshop resource person for this program. The workshop was attended by faculty members of<br />
JSS College of Pharmacy representing all the five departments of the college viz. Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical<br />
Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy and Pharmacy Practice.<br />

8. JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru had organized an Industrial visit to Goa for final year B. Pharm and third<br />
year Pharm. D students, as part of their academic curriculum. The visit was scheduled from February 6th<br />
to 11th <strong>2018</strong>. About 46 Students from Final Year B. Pharm and 20 students of Third Pharm. D along with<br />
four teaching staffs Mr. Gowrav, Mr. Jaidev Kumar, Ms Seema Mehdi and Ms. Shilpa Palaksha visited two<br />
of the pharmaceutical companies (Cipla & Watson/Teva) and a Hindu Pharmacy-a community Pharmacy<br />
at Goa.<br />
