2.2. MAGIC MINI CLUB (3– 6 YEARS)
2.1.1. GENERAL
In the MAGIC Mini Club we offer an age appropriate,
exciting program full of action.
2.1.2. TO BE CONSIDERED
Supervisory duty is taken over for MAGIC Minis, which
means; parents accompany their children to the program
and complete the registration form there. As of
this moment you take over the supervisory duty.
At the end of the program children are being picked up
by their parents personally. The registration form will
be signed at pick-up time by a parent and one entertainer.
The program for the Minis shall always be varied and
exciting – also younger children wish to experience a
lot! But do not forget that you build a story round the
daily routine; this makes the program vivid, exciting and
unforgettable!
The safety aspect is of outmost importance. In particular
when going on excursions and making a tour through
the club grounds. For bigger activities there are always
two entertainers required, one is the main responsible
for the program, the other should always have an eye
on the children and count them. Especially outside the
Children Club, children get easily distracted. A funny
name game will ease it all. Always have an attendance
list with you, in order to be able to bring children who
do not want to stay anymore at all times to their
parents. For this reason it is important to always be
the chieftain for the young ones. Therefore it is also
important to have the children’s attention at all times.
Should you plan any programs that you require special
equipment for (i.e. sun cream, drinks, towels, shoes,
caps, etc.) this has to be determined with the parents
prior to the program start. You need to give them the
exact information what is required, what you are planning
etc. The parents will then know exactly what you
will be doing and do not need to worry. Also inform
parents about planned activities, they can participate
in or act as audience. Children are proud to show their
parents what they are doing or have prepared.
For excursions to the beach or similar the children are
always going in pairs, holding their partner’s hand or
you walk together from A to B, in one row in order to
keep the overview. Also consider not to come too close
to the water! Only the kids’ feet are allowed in the
water.
Always determine with the children what you are planning
to do and which rules need to be considered. Rules
offer safety to the children, as they are not able to
assess risks themselves. The group principally stays
together!
Always ask what the parents have planned for the day
and where they can be found in the club’s premises –
parents need to be reachable in the club.
If you leave the Children Club do not forget to leave a
note at the entrance door, where you are going with the
children. This is required for parents who might want to
visit their children or pick them up earlier.
