Swimming with the kids:
n Never go swimming in the sea with the kids (apart
from TML Kalawy)
n Use the pool, if not too crowded
n Attention: sometimes kids need water wings
n Always keep the overview
n 1 entertainer outside, 1 entertainer in the water
n Are the any kids being allergic?
n If the group is too big look for alternatives, i.e. water
fight
n Maximum amount of children: 20
Rules: Can be determined and extended by you.
Sometimes kids are very loud and restless. Determine
the rules with the kids and emphasise their importance.
n What are they allowed to do? When is it enough?
n Set your personal limits.
n Sun cream is mandatory, hat or cap is of advantage
when you are strolling through the premises with
the kids. Communicate to the children.
n Older kids look after the younger ones.
n “Deputy Sheriffs” can support you. It is always good
to assign this task to an extremely quiet child or
even the loudest. This increases their self esteem,
and it is easier for you to work with them.
Do not forget to consider the interface between the
entertainers and the hotel staff, always check in
advance what is possible and what not.

YOUNGSTER IN GENERAL
We only offer this age group in our MAGIC Highlight
Clubs. Youngster need a program with action and
excitement but they also need chill out phases.
They are no small children anymore and no teenagers
yet. Youngster want to be among themselves, and enjoy
their holiday without their parents, in their group.
However there are some requirements related to behaviour
and keeping up to rules, being aware of risks etc.
that might be addressed to the children. Every day
Youngster want to be motivated anew and also face
new challenges. You as entertainers are model and idol
to them. Things you like and find cool, are also cool for
them, if you transport it to them in a cool and relaxed
way. Everything you will show serves as a model for the
Youngster.
Capturing and keeping children of this age group is
extremely important. Firstly determine what they like,
what is fun for them and which activities they are interested
in. Then they will be on your side. The group
feeling is an absolute must for Youngstesr. The program
for this age group can be ideally combined using element
from the kids and teens program. Set the case you
realise that more and more children are leaving during
the program this is a sign for the entertainer that the
program is not exciting enough! For Youngsters flexibility
and responding to their interests is even more
important. Activities always need to be sold in a highly
motivated manner, and then they find it cool and like to
join in.
For the Youngsters’ program there is no daily theme as
there is for the Minis and kids. It is very important
to create the program varied, exciting and individual.
Certain topics always work very well with this group,
i.e. Olympic Games, rally, creepy day, etc.
The current program is displayed on the information
board. The weekly program is on display at the MAGIC
Kids Club and can be handed out to the parents and
children. Do not forget to inform the parents in the
beginning that the Youngsters’ program only serves at
guideline, as we individually correspond to their needs.
The team at the MAGIC Radio knows at all times where
the Youngsters are.
