1.2. CHILDREN CLUB ENTERTAINMENT
GENERAL
We offer a big variety of kids orientated entertainment
programs.
Children can participate in our activities – but they do
not have to. They can join and leave at any time (Minis
(3-6 years) have to dropped off and picked up by the
parents/guardians).
TUI MAGIC LIFE has international guests and emphasises
on individuality. Each child is an individual, which is
precious and loving, but nevertheless has its certain
particularities. It is our duty, to make each child happy.
We do not differentiate between background and
language. Each child will get our fullest attention.
We impart holiday feelings, affection, joy, trust and
MAGIC Moments, but also limits.
What are the characteristics for a good Kids entertainer?
Happy, friendly, creative, these are only a few characteristics
for a good Kids entertainer.
Obviously we are responsible, always helpful, spontaneous
and a little crazy. We discover the child in our
inner self. We are children ourselves, but take care of
them at the same time. We are there for the children,
but also for the parents. Most important, we maintain
the overview at all times.
A really good children’s entertainer is characterised by
many features.
What do children parents and maybe also the hotel
expects from me?
n Capture the children, i.e. approach them in an open
and spontaneous manner
n Arouse the children’s curiosity, motivate the children
and respond to their needs
n Changing phases
m Searching – lingering
m Excitement – relaxation
m Individual – group
m Movement – quietness
n Listen to the children and take them serious
n Respond to the children’s interests
n Follow the recurring theme at highlight days –
create an exciting program for the complete day
n Always talk to the children on eyesight, particularly
when welcoming them (maybe in a squat position)
n Explain time to children not in minutes but in activities
n Establish group typical actions such as a battle cry,
a secrete language, a secret greeting or secret signs.
n Be attentive and give the children the feeling that
they are important to you.
n Be trustworthy to the parents.
n Radiate self-assurance and security.
n Radiate reliability and trustworthiness.
n Consider children’s diversity and age.
n Always be friendly and funny!
n Address the children personally.
n Create rituals (Tidying up song, snack time song,
morning circle, dance, and many more).
n Trust in the children and let them work independently.

Enjoy what you are doing, then the children and
parents will enjoy it, too.
IMPORTANT:
Children entertainment is of great importance
at TUI MAGIC LIFE. The well-being of the
child is top priority.
A happy child is synonym for happy parents. It is
very important, that the entertainer is dedicated
and responsible when carrying out the day program.
However please do not forget that preparation
work is required, too.
n Arrange the Children Club in a friendly, practical and
child suitable way.
n Decorate your programs accordingly
n Prepare all required material before the program
starts.
n Craft material is prepared in advance, not only when
the children arrive.
n We know what we wish to do during the program,
but also have alternatives. There is always a plan B
in your head.
n We know some games to fill gaps in-between.
n The location for the program has been determined
and checked beforehand (I.e., is it available, are
there any safety defects? Can we be easily found by
parents and children?)
n Do I have drinks for the children available? Where
can we get a drink?
n In order to attract attention, events should take
place outside, but most of the time, in a shaded
place.
The better you are prepared the more secure you are
and the more you will enjoy it!
