Discussion <strong>and</strong> Conclusions<br />

It is worthwhile to underscore that all different statistical methods (ML, PCA,<br />

MMD, <strong>and</strong> MDS) produced consistent outcomes. The results <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> analysis on <strong>the</strong><br />

biological aff<strong>in</strong>ity among <strong>the</strong> samples that <strong>in</strong>habited <strong>the</strong> circum- <strong>Caribbean</strong> area<br />

can be summarized <strong>in</strong>to seven ma<strong>in</strong> po<strong>in</strong>ts:<br />

1. The phenetically different groups are also culturally different <strong>and</strong> vice versa.<br />

This result suggests that no substantial admixture between groups <strong>of</strong> different<br />

cultures occurred.<br />

2. Results <strong>from</strong> <strong>the</strong> previous analyses, which differentiate between Taíno <strong>and</strong><br />
