Training Requirements:
All personnel engaged in hazardous substance removal or other activities that expose or potentially expose them to hazardous
substances or health hazards shall receive appropriate training as required by 29 CFR 1910.120(e), including, but not limited to,
initial 40-hour, 8-hour Supervisor and annual 8-hour refresher training.
Medical qualification, training and fit-testing must be received on an annual basis for individuals that wear a respirator. If an
individual wears a respirator more than 30 days per year, or they are exposed at or above the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL)
of a chemical for more than 30 days in a year, then they must participate in a Medical Surveillance Program as required by 29
CFR 1910.120(f).
