ECO ARCHITECT
“I’ve set myself the objective of designing houses that can genuinely
breathe with nature. It’s not about us being able to survive, but about
nature being able to continue existing--to keep on breathing. It’s a
mutually beneficial relationship in which we take from nature and vice
versa, all the while minimizing pollution and creating a truly comfortable
living space.”
Eco Architect
Eco Architect
Eco Architect
Eco
Architect
Eco Architect
Eco Architect
Eco Architect
The majority of Eco Architect’s first assignments were for former clients with whom Khamron
had previously worked. As time passed, it became evident that all of Eco Architect’s efforts
and ideas resulted in genuinely “livable” homes. Relaxing and thermally comfortable living
spaces characterize their design, which simultaneously emanates a sense of warmth and
belonging. Even their office in Phuket exemplifies the value of a comfortable work environment,
which is something Kamrom prioritizes for Eco Architect’s employees, who are responsible for
the studio’s renowned residential projects that feature high-quality living spaces. The studio’s
clientele has increased due to the success of word-of-mouth among its existing clients. This
development serves as proof of the studio’s success, which has been propelled by the quality
of their work, and has made the expression “a comfortable home that shares the same breath
with nature” not merely a catchphrase but a trademark and an integral part of Eco Architect’s
identity.
We were like a family back then, and we’re still like that now.
Khamron was the one and only founder and staff member when Eco Architect began. In its
third year, the studio employed its second team member to serve as a draftsman. An architect
and an interior designer were eventually added to the studio. In the past five years, Eco
Architect has expanded with a branch based in Bangkok. The studio presently has two
teams and a total of 12 employees. The Bangkok and Phuket offices have no more than six
working staff members due to Khamron’s desire to keep the firm small enough that he can
run it alone and for his employees to maintain a happy working life.
“We were like a family back then, and we’re still like that now.”
Khamron has been the creator, principal architect, administration officer, accountant, human
resource officer, and even the mentor—the go-to guy for his team members—since the
company’s starting point. He believes that the present method by which Eco Architect is run
will foster a sense that everyone at the organization is a family member and that exceptional
works are the product of everyone’s mutual trust, understanding, and devotion.
Kamrom runs Eco Architect on a flex time system, which outlines the daily working hours
that each employee must meet without a set time signaling when to clock in and out. Each
member of the staff has their own roster, which they must present to Khamron at the end of
each month. The roster might be kept in a notebook or as a digital file. Each notebook contains
daily updates on what each member of staff accomplishes on a daily basis. This method
enables Khamron to evaluate the job that each staff member has done and is doing, as well
as stay informed about the flaws or hurdles that each of his team members is dealing with,
allowing him to give effective and relevant advice.
“It’s almost as if they’re practicing keeping a journal. At the end of
each month, I can assess their output as well as their workflow so
that I may make the appropriate recommendations.”
