Legal Studies and Public Safety<br />
PROGRAM OVERVIEW<br />
This program prepares students with practical and technical<br />
<strong>info</strong>rmation and instruction. Students may include both potential<br />
�re �ghters and in-service �re �ghters wishing to upgrade their<br />
career status. A certi�cate in �re protection and safety may lead<br />
to higher scores on promotional examinations. This program is<br />
offered in the afternoon and evening.<br />
CAREER OUTLOOK<br />
Graduates of this program qualify for careers in municipal,<br />
state and federal agencies, industry, and insurance companies.<br />
Graduates also qualify to transfer to the two-year Associate in<br />
Science Degree: Fire Protection and Safety. This program also<br />
prepares �re �ghters who wish to upgrade their career status.<br />
