The <strong>Community</strong> Center for Entrepreneurship<br />
The BHCC <strong>Community</strong> Center for Entrepreneurship is dedicated to helping students,<br />
faculty, alumni and their surrounding communities create start-up companies. Each<br />
individual or company receives one-on-one counseling with a member of the CCE<br />
staff or our partners from the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center<br />
(MSBDC). The CCE acts as a one-stop center to help budding entrepreneurs<br />
navigate the wide range of entrepreneurial services available within BHCC and<br />
without, creating a unique plan that �ts their skills and vision. From short topical<br />
workshops to non-credit courses or certi�cates, a full Associate Degree program,<br />
or simply one-on-one counseling, CCE helps individuals map their clearest path to<br />
�������������������������������������������������������������������������<br />
Career Center<br />
The Career Center provides a wide range of career services to all currently enrolled<br />
students and alumni and provides a valuable link in the partnership between the<br />
<strong>College</strong> and the business community. Working closely with the academic programs,<br />
career counselors assist students in the process of career development, occupational<br />
research and job search. The Center houses a library of career <strong>info</strong>rmation, and<br />
��� �� �������������� ���� �������� ����������� ������� ����������� ���������� ����������<br />
a computer-based career and educational planning program and several resume<br />
writing software programs.<br />
The Career Center is located in Room M101 on the Charlestown Campus and can be<br />

Career and Life Planning. The Career Center helps students with choosing a<br />
major or making wise career decisions. Students can identify their interests, skills<br />
and values by attending offered workshops or taking assessments, including the<br />

will help students set personal and educational goals as they start and continue their<br />
college education. Career counselors are available to meet with students individually<br />
to guide them through the process of decision-making and career exploration, while<br />
helping them gain the skills necessary for success.<br />
Job Search Activities. Workshops or individual sessions designed to assist students<br />
in all aspects of �nding and keeping employment are offered, including resume writing,<br />
interviewing skills, tips for second language job seekers, how to use online and social<br />
networking sites for job searches and more. Students and alumni can receive coaching<br />
and support while they conduct their job search. Enrolled students and alumni have<br />
around-the-clock web access to BCCC’s eRecruiting (www.<strong>bhcc</strong>.experience.com)<br />
where they can search and apply for jobs and internships targeted for BHCC students.<br />
Employers are invited to recruit on campus throughout the year.<br />
Job Fairs. Job Fairs are held in the Fall and Spring semesters and provide employers<br />
the opportunity to meet students. Students are able to explore employment and<br />

career opportunities in several industries through personal contact with employers.<br />
Job Fairs are widely advertised on the campus. Workshops are offered through the<br />
Career Center to prepare students to be successful at the Job Fair.<br />
Internship Programs. The <strong>College</strong> supports the opportunity for students to gain<br />
hands-on experience in a �eld of study through two types of internships: Academic<br />
Program Internships are 3-credit courses available in several disciplines that count<br />
toward a degree or certi�cate. Career Development Internships are non-credit �eld<br />
placements matched to career learning goals. Current postings, workshops, and<br />
advising are offered to help students identify opportunities, apply, and empower<br />

Of�ce for Students with Disabilities<br />
The <strong>College</strong> provides support services for students with documented disabilities.<br />
These services include classroom accommodations, testing modi�cations and the use<br />
of assistive technology. In addition, the Of�ce offers academic advising, supportive<br />
counseling and study and support groups. These services promote equal access<br />
and student success, while maintaining student con�dentiality and consideration in<br />
accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act of<br />
1973. Students with appropriate documentation who wish to request accommodations<br />

Health Services<br />
<strong>Bunker</strong> <strong>Hill</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> offers health services to promote health education<br />
and wellness in an atmosphere that is welcoming, culturally sensitive and growth<br />
producing. The Health Services Of�ce promotes wellness through health education<br />
awareness programs and individual health counseling.<br />
The Health Services Coordinator provides emergency �rst aid and treatment of<br />
minor injuries and common illnesses and is available to discuss the individual<br />
health concerns of students, faculty and staff. The Coordinator acts as a resource<br />
for <strong>info</strong>rmation regarding immunizations, student health insurance, referral to local<br />

<strong>Bunker</strong> <strong>Hill</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is not<br />
