Students should retain and keep in an accessible place a copy of their FAFSA as<br />
well as all other documents used to complete their FAFSA. Applicants are noti�ed<br />
in writing if additional documentation such as tax returns is needed. Returning<br />
students and applicants for admission should contact the Financial Aid Of�ce, Room<br />
B213, Charlestown Campus, or call 617-228-2275 if they have any questions about<br />
this process.<br />
Dreamkeepers SM Student Emergency Assistance Fund<br />
<strong>Bunker</strong> <strong>Hill</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> has established a Dreamkeepers Student Emergency<br />
Assistance Fund. The purpose of the fund is to provide monetary relief to students<br />
for emergencies that occur during the semester and that may cause a student to drop<br />
out. Information is available at https://<strong>bhcc</strong>.dreamkeepers.org. Applications will<br />
be accepted after the end of the schedule adjustment period for the Fall and Spring<br />
semesters. The fund does not support tuition, fees and books.<br />
Single Stop<br />
Single Stop USA is a new initiative at <strong>Bunker</strong> <strong>Hill</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong>, connecting<br />
students to state and federal �nancial resources and local community services. The<br />
aim is to help students surmount economic barriers, continue with their education,<br />
and move towards economic mobility with the ultimate goal toward ending cycles<br />
of poverty.<br />
Single Stop provides bene�ts screening for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance<br />
Program (SNAP), offers consultation for those with housing issues, aids with health<br />
insurance applications and is able to advocate on behalf of students with the<br />
Department of Transitional Assistance. In conjunction with the nationally successful<br />
����� ����� ��������� ����� ����������� ��� ����������� ���� ������ �������� ���� ������<br />
Income Taxes is available from February through mid-April. This year, Single Stop<br />
has partnered with the Greater Boston Food Bank in sponsoring several Mobile<br />
Markets for the campus community. During the Fall semester, in association with<br />
the Humphrey Project at Boston University and The Federal Reserve Bank, Single<br />
Stop will be offering free �nancial counseling and workshops with �nancial advisors.<br />

Single Stop at BHCC is the only site in New England and is locally funded with<br />
primary support from the nationally recognized GreenLight Fund which supports<br />
innovative, high performing nonpro�ts addressing issues affecting low-income<br />
families.<br />
Federal Financial Aid Refund Policy<br />

student withdraws, which is:<br />

percent, is determined by dividing the number of days a student was enrolled<br />
by the number of days in the semester. If the student withdraws from all courses<br />

withdraws before 60 percent of the semester is completed, however, the student may<br />
owe a portion of his or her �nancial aid, if the Financial Aid Of�ce determines that<br />
the student has received an amount larger than the earned amount.<br />

5. Federal SEOG Program.<br />
