Sir: I have <strong>the</strong> houor <strong>of</strong> presenting- my annual report for <strong>the</strong> year<br />

enclino- December 31, 1891, in accordance with article two, section nine,<br />

<strong>of</strong> an act <strong>of</strong> assembly approved June 2, A. D. 1891.<br />

The general condition <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> mines is safe <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> ventilation good.<br />

By reference to <strong>and</strong> examination <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> accompanying tables, it will<br />

be found that <strong>the</strong> workings, ventilation <strong>and</strong> quantity <strong>of</strong> coal mined,<br />

shipped, used for raising steam; <strong>and</strong> sold at <strong>the</strong> collieries for local consumption<br />

is reported in detail.<br />
