Freedom of movement<br />

In theory, the registration <strong>in</strong> a reception centre is not compulsory <strong>and</strong> <strong>asylum</strong> <strong>seekers</strong> may reside<br />

wherever they want <strong>in</strong> the country. However, they are <strong>in</strong> practice obliged to live <strong>in</strong> the place of<br />

registration s<strong>in</strong>ce it is only there that they will be able to receive <strong>social</strong> assistance.<br />

The Dubl<strong>in</strong> Convention<br />

Asylum <strong>seekers</strong> processed under the provisions of the Dubl<strong>in</strong> Convention are not subject to any<br />

specific measures <strong>and</strong> have there<strong>for</strong>e the same rights as other <strong>asylum</strong> <strong>seekers</strong><br />
