• Owing to a flexible work organisation and a larger
number of internal education courses we saved about
€0.32 million. Additional savings were created on
account of obtaining funds from European projects.
• Employee healthcare:
28 per cent of employees received preliminary, periodic
and specific health examinations in 2005.
22.2 Sponsorships for and
donations to the social
community
In 2005 the Sava Group allocated €4,734,000 for
sponsorships and donations, or 20 per cent more than in
2004.
• Sport:
We further strengthened the long-standing partnerships
with Sava Cycling club and Triglav Skiing club.
• Culture:
With the Museum of Gorenjsko we concluded a fouryear
general sponsorship agreement on the birth-place
home of the great Slovene poet Dr. France Preæeren in
Vrba.
• Safety at work:
One of the novelties was collaborating in the Stop the
Noise campaign.
• Number of work-related injuries decreased by 0.3
per cent.
• Training courses for safe work were attended by 57
per cent of employees.
• Professional development:
In 2005 we sponsored the final conference of the
international interdisciplinary research project
Manufacturing Visions – Quo Vadis?
• Charity:
The fee proceeds and a contribution by the company
Golf in Kamp Bled d.d. were donated to the
development centre of the kindergarten in Bled for preschool
children with special needs.
• Integration in the social community:
We actively engaged in numerous international,
national, professional and voluntary associations. We
are also a co-founder of the Development Forum of
Gorenjsko.
