Dear Ladies and Gentlemen;

I respectfully request your approval to the appropriation of $7500.00, in the
anticipation of the passage of the budget, to the Building Department, Public
Buildings Maintenance"School'Buildings, Building and Grounds, Special Item
Account to cover the cost of "furnishing and installing a new boiler in the
Brown School as requested in a^letter dated February 28^ 19^-6 from the Building
dommissioner.

I respectfully request your submitting to the Board of Aldermen
an appropriation to the amount of $7500.00 to cover the cost .on installing
a boiler in the Brown School on Willow Avenue.
This boiler on Tuesday, February 26th, let go and examination
performed by the boiler inspector develops that it is absolutely impossible
to repair and further is against good practice.
The Insurance Company will not cover a boiler of that age
which is forty-six years old and they recommend and almost insist upon a new
boiler.' They also would like the other boi'ler removed as it has reached the
saturation point for use.
Therefore I would appreciate it if you would submit this
money to the Board.

the passage of The budget, to Board of Health Department, personal
service~Account. This is to cover the salary of James C- Moore, Assistant
Inspector of Milk and Vinegar.
Mr* Moore has been in military service during the past five years, and he
will resume his duties on March 1,
